This scholarship has been endowed by the late Mr W Gordon Morrison and Mrs Morrison in memory of their son Brian, a past Chairman of the Engineering Society.
The endowment specifies an annual award to engineering students attending the University of Canterbury, particularly overseas engineering students, who are considered likely in their future lives to promote and foster racial tolerance, co-operation, and understanding, which Brian Morrison during his lifetime and while a student at university earnestly sought.

Faculty position in Engineering, natural science and sustainable energy.
The School of Science and Engineering at Reykjavík University is looking for candidates to lead the academic program within the Reykjavík Energy Graduate School of Sustainable Systems (REYST). We are looking for a person with an interest in and knowledge of sustainable energy systems. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in engineering or natural science. Industry experience is beneficial, but not essential.

The REYST program is a cooperative effort between Reykjavík University and Reykjavík Energy. It offers a program of graduate studies leading to a MS degree in sustainable energy science or a MS degree in sustainable energy engineering. The REYST program is based on a broad foundation where all students are required to take classes on energy technology, geoscience and energy economics before specializing further. The REYST program has strong industrial ties and emphasises professional rigour.
